It was recently announced by The WWE that next week’s episode of SmackDown, which will be emanating from The Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina, will see John Morrison face The New Day’s Big E in Singles action.
This match came about due to John Morrison interfering in a Singles Match between The Miz and Kofi Kingston during last night’s episode of SmackDown. Earlier in the evening, there was a Miz TV Segment wherein John Morrison was The Miz’s special guest. Morrison defended The Miz in the segment and made it known that they are back together. Morrison also said that he was disappointed in the fans, not in The Miz. They were then interrupted by The SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day, which would lead to The Singles Match between The Miz & Kofi Kingston. The Singles Match would see John Morrison get involved and take out Big E at ringside, which would then lead to The Miz securing the pinfall victory over the distracted Kofi Kingston.
