Last night on RAW, WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley made an appearance and revealed the newest WWE Title known as The WWE 24/7 Title. Foley said that The WWE 24/7 Title will be open to Superstars from Monday Night RAW, SmackDown LIVE, NXT, NXT UK & 205 Live. Foley also said that even WWE Legends can show up anytime and win the title.
Foley also said that The WWE 24/7 Title will be able to change hands at any time, any place, as long as there is a referee present. Foley also said that falls will count anywhere, which is a similar rule to what The WWE Hardcore Title had. Foley then indicated that the third hour of Monday Night RAW each and every week will see the title be up for grabs.
Titus O’Neil became The First-Ever WWE 24/7 Champion by winning a Scramble Match. The Scramble Match also featured Drake Maverick, No Way Jose, EC3, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Mojo Rawley, Eric Young & Cedric Alexander. O’Neil then quickly lost The WWE 24/7 Title to Robert Roode via pinfall.
Several segments were then aired by WWE that saw Superstars chasing Roode around The Times Union Center in Albany, New York, ending with R-Truth tricking Roode and pinning him for the title, which makes R-Truth the third and current WWE 24/7 Champion.
The WWE website wrote the following on The WWE 24/7 Title: “New title, new rules, new Raw? Seeking to bring the rawness back to the third hour of Raw, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley introduced the 24/7 Championship, a new title that can be won or lost at any time, in any place, as long as there’s a referee present, with competition is open to all brands, including 205 Live, NXT and NXT UK. The idea, Foley said, was to reinforce the notion that a champion must eat, sleep and breathe the title if he wants to be worthy of the name.”
