At the recently concluded finals of The NJPW New Japan Cup Tournament, “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada defeated “Cold Skull” SANADA to win this year’s New Japan Cup Tournament. Because of Okada’s win, he now gets an opportunity at The IWGP Heavyweight Title against “Switchblade” Jay White at ROH / NJPW G1 Supercard at Madison Square Garden on April 6th.
White & Okada have already had two previous singles bouts: White defeated Okada in last year’s G1 Climax Tournament as well as at this year’s Wrestle Kingdom 13.
