As previously reported, AEW star Juice Robinson sustained an injury last week during his Continental Classic match against Will Ospreay at the Collision TV tapings. Following the match, Robinson was seen on crutches with his left ankle wrapped while attending WrestleCade. Dave Meltzer provided an update on Robinson’s condition during today’s Wrestling Observer Radio.
According to Meltzer, Robinson is concerned he may have suffered a “potentially broken foot.” He underwent x-rays earlier this week, but as of the update, the results had not yet come in. Robinson is reportedly fearing that the injury could be more serious than initially anticipated.
Tony Khan has announced that Robinson who was a competitor in the Gold League of the Continental Classic tournament has now been replaced by Lucha Libre star Komander.
Due to injury, Juice Robinson cannot complete the #AEWContinentalClassic.
Aiming to prove that he can hang with the world’s very best, high flying rising star @KomandercrMX will join the field as Gold League first alternate, + the upcoming schedule will be adjusted accordingly.
