Ever since AEW was launched several months ago, there has been some competition between them and a few other Professional Wrestling Promotions out there, especially with WWE and especially with signing talents.

NXT UK Women’s Champion Toni Storm recently made an appearance for Stardom and was supposed to face Bea Priestley, who is signed to AEW, on May 16th at Korakuen Hall for The World Of Stardom Title but Stardom announced that the match wouldn’t be taking place anymore.

For the upcoming Korakuen Hall show on May 16, the previously announced match between Toni Storm and Bea Priestley will not take place due to circumstances beyond our control. Thank you for undestanding.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there have been some issues before with talent from The NXT UK brand & The WWE UK brand as a whole in appearing in certain shows of certain promotions. The report also states that WWE were the ones who cancelled the match from taking place as they could potentially see their NXT UK Women’s Champion losing to someone from AEW. Priestley was expected to retain the title, which WWE would take too kindly as they might be expecting some sort of backlash. Priestley will now be defending her title against Hazuki while Toni Storm will be taking on Kagetsu.
