WrestleMania 35 is drawing closer and closer as the days go by but until now SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka still doesn’t have a challenger for her SmackDown Women’s Title.
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there were official plans to do a match between SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka & Lacey Evans but that match was reportedly nixed a few weeks back. There is no word yet on why a potential matchup between SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka & Lacey Evans was pulled but Evans is reportedly set to have her first main roster feud against Natalya on Monday Night RAW. It has been previously reported that Evans is in line for a significant push on the main roster as WWE Officials are very high up on her.
As seen on SmackDown LIVE for the past few weeks, it seems that they might have SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka defend her SmackDown Women’s Title against Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville in a Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania 35 as the company has been teasing some tension between Deville & Rose to add to the storyline. It is even possible that they do a Fatal 4-Way Match with Naomi added to the mix, or some other kind of multi-woman match with Superstars from the blue brand.
