Triple H recently shared his thoughts on how it has become easier for WWE stars to transition into film and TV roles, thanks to wrestling’s growing acceptance in mainstream culture. Speaking on The Roommates Show, the WWE Chief Content Officer reflected on how the perception of professional wrestling has evolved over the years. He noted that wrestling is now much more “accepted” by mainstream audiences, which has opened up new opportunities for WWE Superstars to branch out into entertainment beyond the ring. Triple H emphasized that this shift in perception has made it much easier for wrestlers to pursue careers in film, television, and other media, as they are seen as legitimate stars who can carry these projects. He also pointed to the success of several WWE Superstars who have made a name for themselves in Hollywood, further solidifying the idea that wrestling and mainstream entertainment can go hand in hand.
Triple H said (per Fightful). “
“Wrestling is accepted now, If somebody goes and does a movie or TV film, it’s so accepted to where it’s not, ‘What’s this wrestler doing in this movie?’ Now, they can sort of fit in and people are more accepted of it.”
“I think over the years, you’ll see some of that. Guys like Roman Reigns, and some of our women too. Rhea Ripley or people like that. Especially with action movies and the superhero genre, if Rhea Ripley is not a superhero, I’m not sure who is. Bianca Belair is another. Jade Cargill. If they’re not superheroes, what is?”
WWE is becoming a movie star training facility.
