In a recent interview on the Von Erich Podcast (via Fightful), Steven Borden discussed his journey in training to become a professional wrestler, sharing insights into his progress and the trainers he’s been working with. Borden, who has been dedicated to honing his craft, mentioned that he’s been putting in significant effort to prepare for a potential wrestling career.
He also revealed that his father, the legendary Sting, had a less-than-enthusiastic reaction to his decision to pursue wrestling. Borden described the conversation they had as “tough,” indicating that Sting may have reservations about his son stepping into the ring. Despite this, Borden remains committed to his training, emphasizing the importance of following his passion. As he continues to develop his skills, fans are eager to see where this new chapter in his career will lead.
Steven Borden on his training:
As often as I can. I’ve spent quite a bit of time in Asheville training with Dax (Harwood), Cash (Wheeler), and Adam (Copeland). That will probably end up being a more long-term thing at some point pretty soon, it’s just a timing thing.“
Good luck to him. Hopefully people don’t compare him to his dad’s career.
