It was recently announced by The WWE that Rey Mysterio will be making his much-awaited return to tomorrow’s episode of Monday Night RAW from The Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, but it wasn’t revealed or specified what he will be doing on the show. We last saw Rey Mysterio on The June 3rd episode of Monday Night RAW when he was forced to relinquish his WWE United States Title and hand it over to Samoa Joe due to a separated left shoulder injury.
During an interview that Rey Mysterio was part of last month, he gave his insights and thoughts about his unfortunate injury and his much-anticipated return.
This is what Rey Mysterio said: “An unfortunate thing happened in the ring at MITB.” “When you’re in their full action and full adrenaline, you have know idea of the referee’s count or if he’s even aware that the opponent is grabbing the rope while he’s doing the pin. Nine out of 10 times the ref is right on spot, but this wasn’t the occasion.”
“When I saw the replay I saw that Samoa Joe’s left shoulder was off the canvas during the three-count. Due to the unfortunate aftermath after winning the title, I suffered a separated left shoulder. That has put me on the bench, so I’ve been doing some PRP and slight rotation movements. I’m trying to see if I could get back in possibly late June or July.”
Below is the updated lineup for tomorrow’s RAW:
– WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins & RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. Andrade & Zelina Vega
– Shane McMahon & Drew McIntyre vs. Roman Reigns and a partner of Shane McMahon’s choosing. If The Undertaker interferes in the match, then he will be removed from The Tag Team Match at WWE Extreme Rules
– WWE teasing The Club taking over RAW and possible new opponents
– Rey Mysterio returns from injury
