According to Squared Circle Sirens, NXT Superstar Kavita Devi is currently out of in-ring action due to injury and she will reportedly be undergoing surgery soon. Devi was first introduced to The WWE & NXT Universe when she competed in The Inaugural Mae Young Classic Tournament. She was then signed to a contract despite losing to Dakota Kai in the first round of The Mae Young Classic Tournament.
Devi would then compete in The 2018 Mae Young Classic Tournament, but she would suffer a first round loss to Kaitlyn. Devi would also make her presence felt at last year’s WWE WrestleMania 34 where she competed in The Women’s Battle Royal, but would get eliminated by Sarah Logan. As of late July, Devi was still active in in-ring competition as she was still wrestling at NXT Live Events.
Devi made history by signing in NXT as she is the first-ever female pro wrestler of Indian nationality to be signed by WWE. Devi reportedly suffered a torn ACL just recently and she will be going under the knife this coming Thursday, August 15th. There is no word yet on how Devi suffered the injury or for how long she will be out of in-ring action, but more information and updates will be provided once it is made available.
