Recently, there have been rumors circulating that Conor McGregor was considering a return to the UFC, especially after a long hiatus from the sport. Speculation grew when discussions about a potential fight with rising star Ilia Topuria began to surface.
However, McGregor took to Twitter to dismiss these rumors, specifically addressing the alleged UFC bout with Topuria. In his post, McGregor clarified that these rumors were false, and he is not planning a UFC return just yet. Instead, he revealed that he is in “preliminary agreements” with the Ambani family for a boxing exhibition against Logan Paul in India.
McGregor confirmed that he has already agreed to the match, stating,
“The rumors of a bout with Topuria are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon.”
This statement has shifted the focus away from the UFC and onto the upcoming exhibition, signaling a different path for McGregor’s future in combat sports.
