Tom Pestock, formerly known as Baron Corbin in WWE, found redemption at the IBJJF Tampa International Open 2024 on November 23rd. After securing a silver medal in the Master 2 Ultra Heavy division earlier in the day, Pestock went on to claim gold in the Master 2 Open division.
He triumphed over Fi Li in the semifinals, Bradley Curtis in the second round, and ultimately defeated his teammate, Diogo Rodrigues Ponciano Freitas, in the final to secure the top spot.
This victory comes just months after Pestock won gold at the Jiu Jitsu World League on December 2, 2023. Training at Rudos BJJ in Florida, Pestock continues to excel in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu following his departure from WWE on November 1st when his contract was not renewed.
