Macho Man Randy Savage: Unique Madness

On December 3rd 1994, Macho Man made his much anticipated debut on WCW Saturday Night, and delivered a classic Macho Man promo. Making both his feelings towards Hulk Hogan, and his desire to be WCW Champion, clear. The year that followed was a career resurgence for Savage. The man who had been considered washed up the WWF got a fresh batch of performers to work with and put on matches that reminded everyone why he was a legend. On November 26th 1995, at World War 3, Macho Man Randy Savage would come out victorious in pro wrestling’s first ever 60 man, 3 ring, over the top rope battle royal and win his first WCW Championship. He would feud with Ric Flair for the title, and would lose it to him at Starrcade 1995. Savage would regain his title from Flair and become a two time WCW Champion on January 22nd 1996, on Monday Night Nitro. However, “The Nature Boy” would once again beat Savage for the gold at SuperBrawl VI in a steel cage match, after Savage’s long time manager, Ms. Elizabeth, turned on him and aligned with Flair. The two would keep feuding until June of 1996, when the formation of the NWO changed WCW, and pro wrestling, forever.
