D.Flippins

I'm a millennial, so I grew up in the Attitude Era. I grew up in a big wrestling town (home of OVW), so I'm stuck no matter what the product turns into. I'm a film school brat making my way through the industry via screenwriting. That's not as glamorous as it sounds, because new screenwriters are poor. So I take my frustrations out in the ring (mentally, not physically) I like anarchy so all things ECW, I praise heels, and I hate the nerds in wrestling (Michael Cole). My first live show was Judgment day 2000. The Rock vs. HHH in a hour long iron man match (it's ok to be jealous). I have no kids, one dog and a outdoor cat named Gene Stitsky.

The Go-Home show for TLC was last night, and boy did they deliver the goods. Most of the content was pretty standard, but they made all the right decisions and the performances were top notch. Of course there were pitfalls as always, so lets nitpick! Heat Storm About Midway through …

WWE Raw Review 11/28/16

Even though none of their hometown heroes won, WWE gave the Charlotte crowd anentertaining night of wrestling. Not only that but they were able to pace the show in such a way that every major story got the right amount of time. Considering there were two title matches, a title …

Smackdown Live Review 11/22/16

That’s Enough There was a nice title theme to Smackdown Live this week, and that was chaos. The idea that the superstars are getting a little too out of hand for management to handle. That was evident in the first segment, when Shane McMahon expressed his displeasure in what Dean Ambrose …

WWE Raw Review 11/21/16

wwe-raw-wrestling-examiner

I’m so glad all that Survivor Series stuff is over. The ppv itself wasn’t awful, but the last few Raw’s have been. I came into tonight’s episodes with low expectations and thankfully I was wrong. This was one of the more coherent episodes of Raw in recent memory. One More …

Depending on who you are, you’re probably excited for at least one match for the upcoming Survivor Series. Or maybe you’re excited for all the matches, or none of the matches. Like I said it depends on who you are. Either way, lets break down the card. Brock Lesnar vs. …

WWE Smackdown Live Review 11/08/16

No! Where’s My Main Event I don’t understand WWE‘s rules of what is considered a main event. Apparently it’s whatever they call a main event, no matter where it is on the card. Fine, I’ll play by those rules. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t still disappointed. I …

WWE Raw Review 11/7/16

wwe-raw-wrestling-examiner

Thank You, Coach Stephanie Stephanie McMahon is one of the best performers the WWE has, and is probably one of the best talkers of the last two decades. She knows what she’s doing out there, she’s been in the business forever. So why is she doing whatever the hell she’s …

WWE SmackDown Live Review 11/1/16

wwe-smackdown-live-wrestling-examiner

Ok, You got me. In this day in age in the WWE, it’s extremely rare for the fans to get a actual payoff to a storyline previously setup. But Smackdown turned around a lackluster show by finally giving Ellsworth what he so annoyingly has been wanting all night. I will …

WWE Raw Review 10/31/16

Hartford Connecticut hosted the very mediocre fall out to Hell in a Cell, plagued with Survivor Series build up, and holiday stuff. Don’t worry, I found some good. Take 2! Bill Goldberg opened the show, receiving another great reaction from the crowd. It’s good news to see him getting such …

WWE Smackdown Review 10/11/2016

wwe-smackdown-live-wrestling-examiner

The new Intercontinental champion Dolph Ziggler opened the show with a pretty decent response. He gave a typical baby face promo. Yelling and gushing, complete with a “we did it.” It was par for the course. Things kicked up when the Miz came out. I loved how somber he and Maryse …
